Description: The moment I first started listening to From Now On I recognised that here is a real artist who is positive about what he does and isn’t relying on that all so important image. Abyss is far deeper than an image, there is a real sense of positivity and achievement throughout, not distancing himself from being an everyday man like many of todays rappers. The title track From Now On just seems effortless with Method Man esque rap style flowing over slick beats and string accompaniment and is a real stand out track on the disc. Tracks such as Revenge is a Sin show a real versatility with a real alternative guitar driven edge and makes it very clear that Abyss is not afraid to experiment with other genres. Cominatcha shows that other extreme of the real party hip-hop ticking all the boxes for a hip hop album. The sheer quality in the production combined with the raw talent of Abyss makes this an essential purchase.
